BOX SET ART: Mansun
This one was the biggest project of my life, a journey from tentatively working on Paul Draper’s solo releases up to this career retrospective box set.
From digging in the Parlophone archive unearthing lost film tapes and studio ephemera from the early band sessions to working with renowned box set producer Stuart Batsford, this one was an eventful ride.
I was a fan of Mansun in the 90s, so I definitely didn’t want the responsibility of working on the design of Paul’s solo material, or the reissues of the first two albums on Kscope, but through a series of fortunate events (stepping in to save the day after our commissioned designer went awol) and the faith of Paul and his then manager, I took it on, and I’m so glad I did, this is my proudest piece of work so far.
